Recordings 1969 - 1976. \u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e\n\nRoy Clark was born in Meherrin, VA, and grew up in the Navy Yard area of DC, where he began his professional career in the 1950s.  Impressing with his guitar, banjo, and fiddle prowess, Clark played local clubs and joined regional and national touring acts, and landed a regular gig on Jimmy Dean's \"Town And Country Time\" TV and radio show, starting in 1954.
