Originally released in 1975.

Bunny Scott (William Clarke) was better known as Bunny Rugs, lead singer of Third World--and occasionally as Bunny Clarke, under which he recorded the definitive reggae version of William DeVaughn's "Be Thankful".

As with that prized 7" single, This LP pairs Clarke with producer Lee Perry, in a project much akin to Susan Cadogan's much better-known debut LP, recorded at around the same time. With both young singers, Perry cross-bred reggae with American pop and soul music to market in the British Isles, helping usher in (or at least cash in on) the UK Lovers' Rock movement.

The LP offers gorgeous reggae arrangements and cutting-edge Black Ark production of unlikely sources including Neil Diamond and the Bee Gees, in addition to dynamite soul from the likes of Bill Withers.

Uniquely, this CD edition genuinely improves on the LP with the addition of crucial bonus tracks. They include the outtake "I Never Had It So Good" which was only released on a UK 12" single, and the aforementioned epic cover version of "Be Thankful For What You've Got."

It's a unique chestnut from the reggae canon, with undeniable mass appeal.
