Rocksteady Disco is back with the enigmatic cosmic badmen Glenn Echo (Sol Power All Stars) & Daniel Meinecke for a timeless 7" single.
"I Need Somebody To Love Tonight" is a heavyweight cover of the all-time Sylvester and Patrick Cowley classic. New Orleans vocalist Mark-Anthony Thomas (Tank and the Bangas) delivers an uncanny Sylvester-esque vocal performance, while Daniel Meinecke shows his synth wizardry.
On the flip is "Lucky 7s", a bugged out chunky midtempo 7/4 beat with the heavy dubwise bass and drums that we've come to love from Glenn Echo. With Mr. Meinecke on the vocoder, modular synth, Prophet, and Moog this one brings the 22nd century funk.
Housed in a picture sleeve from Michal Rafaj.
