Jerome "Bigfoot" Brailey started performing in the late 1960s as a drummer with R&B groups including The Unifics, The Chambers Brothers and The Five Stairsteps where he developed his unique style and finesse on drums.

Later in 1975 he joined George Clinton's P-Funk collective. Brailey played on classic albums like "Mothership Connection' and "One Nation Under A Groove'. Brailey earned numerous Gold and Platinum records with the P-Funk Organization and has worked as a session drummer for many talented artists such as Herbie Hancock, Buddy Miles, Snoop Dogg and Pharoah Sanders.

Mutiny performed in a style not far removed from the classic P-Funk, with a lot of emphasis on dual lead guitar work, at times with a darker, more sinister feeling.

Black Hat Daddy & The Silver Comb Gang was scheduled for release as Mutiny's 3rd LP in 1981. While due to unforeseen circumstances it never saw an official release, some tracks were remixed for inclusion on later releases. Better late than never, the original mixes are presented here.
