Formed in 1987 in Washington, DC and active from then until 2003, Fugazi consists of guitarists-vocalists Ian MacKaye and Guy Picciotto, bassist Joe Lally, and drummer Brendan Canty, with Jerry Busher joining the group in its later years.
Fugazi remains among the most widely popular and respected artists ever to not only emerge from DC, but ply all of its trades in the area for the duration and beyond.
The band's members have all carried on as exemplars of the work and social ethics Fugazi was also known for. Individually and in collaboration, each has continued to compose, record, and otherwise contribute to projects that are both surprising and somehow impeccable.
