The greatest roots reggae LP ever recorded--the beauty, depth, and intensity of the performances matched by daring and otherworldly production and arrangements.

The "Heart of the Congos" LP went through no less than six markedly different mixes and edits--some transcendent, some blasphemous--before ever seeing a proper, definitive worldwide release, nearly 20 years after its completion.

This Triple-LP edition expands on that release, another 20 years on. It features the definitive edits and mixes of each of the album's original ten tracks. Also included are three out-takes from those sessions, "Don't Blame It On I", "At The Feast", and "Nicodeemus", each of which is a highly prized roots classic in its own right.

The third LP contains extended discomixes of album cuts "Solid Foundation" and "Congoman" originally released on Jamaican 12" singles, along with two alternate dub takes of "Row Fisherman" and one of "Ark of the Covenant" originally from the B-sides of Jamaican 7" singles.
