"Confrontation" was conceived by Bob Marley as the conclusion of a trilogy of LP's--the others being "Survival" and "Uprising"--dedicated to raising a truly global consciousness, and reflecting the side by side development of an eternal one. Highlights include the original version of "Buffalo Soldier", and stirring remakes of "Rastaman Live Up!", and "Blackman Redemption".
Sadly, Marley passed away before "Confrontation"'s completion and release, work that was taken up by his bandmates including his widow Rita Marley, who released the original version of the LP.
