The band that started Dischord Records. Teen Idles (nee The Slinkees) consisted of four students at Northwest DC's Wilson High School, musically inspired by local legends Link Wray and Bad Brains, who set out to birth a scene that would cater to underage punks (and allegedly introduced the underage/no-alcohol hand-stamp to the DC club scene).
