20 Christmas Fantasy - Part II
John Fahey's first LP of Christmas music for solo guitar was something of an anomaly for him -- understated arrangements of familiar music, relatively free of Fahey's trademark sonic and technical envelope-pushing. Naturally, it was his most commercially successful record.
Volume II bears a bit more of Fahey's artistic stamp, while preserving what made his earlier holiday set so enduring: it's thoroughly enjoyable whether you love Christmas music or hate it.
