Hailing from Mustang, OK, Bartees Strange spent much of the last decade split between Brooklyn, NY and DC, working for environmental causes and honing his musical chops in both cities' punk scenes. He settled in DC in the late 2010s and has quickly emerged in his own right as a kind of unstoppable musical gourmand. Already considered a rare-gifted craftsman of sound, story, and song--and a deft producer to boot--who knows how much longer we'll keep him.
