Soul Revivers are Nick Manasseh, David Hill and Adrian McKenzie.
In late 2017, David Hill acted as music and creative consultant for Idris Elba's Yardie. David and Nick's subsequent productions for the film provided the spark for what would become the Soul Revivers' debut album On The Grove.
Holding It Down, their follow-up LP - features a roster of legends, including Johnny Clarke, one of reggae's founding fathers, along with fellow Jamaican vocalists Susan Cadogan and Earl 16. Also appearing are trombonist Vin Gordon, trumpeter Sheila Maurice-Grey (aka Ms. Maurice), and Anoushka Nangay of Kokoroko. The rhythm section includes Adrian "Kenz" McKenzie (drums), Will Rast (keyboards), James Shepherd and Wayne Almond (guitars), and Colin Humphries and Dougal Caston (horns).
Once again, Soul Revivers prove they are exemplars of world-class reggae, expertly drawing on the genre's rich history while incorporating contemporary artistry and new sounds to create something both fresh and timeless.
